Best fence length is within 10 km. The longest run on this energiser is 20 km. Pulses arrive about every 1.3 seconds and each pulse is shorter than 0.1 seconds. Working current is 100–700 mA. The supply should deliver more than 2 A.

I was looking for an electric fence energiser for cattle field fencing and didn't want to pay Gallagher prices. The XSD-260B is on the cattle fence. The display and the shock light are easy to check from the gate.
The XSD-260B runs from a 12 V battery with the clip lead. The power light, the shock light and the display are easy to check from a distance.
Bought this XSD-260B after our old unit packed up. It arrived next day as promised. Very easy to mount in the barn and hook up to the main paddock. Highly recommended.
The XSD-260B is on the cattle fence. Use your own earth rod. One is not in the box.
Without a doubt the best electric fence energiser I've used for the price. We take it to the summer grazing and run it from a 12 V battery with the clip lead.
Solid, well-built electric fencing power unit. It's currently running about 6km of high tensile wire for our dairy herd and hasn't missed a beat. Good value for money.
